Parkeringshuset Godsmagasinet is one of P-Malmö’s central parking garages. P-Malmö works actively for sustainable parking with various initiatives.
Butong won the tender to install green facades on part of the parking garage. The vertical garden have been given a red and a white color to harmonize with the other facades of the house. The market hall has now got a worthy neighbor.
The green facade is irrigated with water that is collected from the roof of the parking garage and none of this water thus loads the city’s stormwater system.
Small birds are given the opportunity to move into nests, built of recycled wood, on the red plant wall and on the white plant wall, the common swifts are given the opportunity to live. A hotel for wild bees has been built on the roof between the green facades.
